Our History.
Founded in 2024, The Perception Project was established to foster a community of inclusion centered around digital literacy. In today’s interconnected world, digital literacy is crucial, impacting both personal and professional spheres. It involves the ability to navigate and use digital tools and technologies effectively and efficiently. Mastering this skill is essential for success in diverse fields, including education, business, healthcare, and beyond.
One of the primary benefits of digital literacy is the ability to access and disseminate information quickly and easily. With digital tools and technologies, individuals can research and share information on virtually any topic from anywhere in the world. This has opened up new opportunities for education, allowing individuals to learn and collaborate with others across the globe.
In addition to education, digital literacy is also crucial for success in the workforce. Many jobs require proficiency in digital tools and technologies, from basic computer skills to more advanced technical abilities. Those who are digitally literate are better equipped to navigate the ever-changing landscape of technology and adapt to new tools and platforms as they emerge.
Introducing digital literacy is a crucial step towards decreasing the digital divide in any community. We will provide hands-on experiences with various digital tools and platforms, as well as opportunities for participants to ask questions and receive guidance.
The Perception Project aims to collaborate with community organizations that provide services to under-resourced communities. The primary objective is to expand their resources and capabilities to include digital literacy. Through our partner-focused approach, we will provide a series of training sessions, implementation meetings, and knowledge-sharing events.
